Awards

Winegrowers awards honor individuals and organizations whose dedication, leadership, and service elevate Washington wine. Each award tells a story—not just of achievement, but of commitment to our industry and community.

Award Nominations

Grower of the Year Award

As a tribute to Hanson and his expertise as a grower; to recognize demonstrated viticultural skills that provide impact in the vineyard and in the bottle.  Grower of the Year is about how well someone creates the atmosphere of a perfect grape in his/her vineyard.

Grand Vin Award

Recognizes a winery employee (or owner) that has made a significant impact on the winery, the wine, the brand or the process of making exceptional wine.  Includes any one person in the winery; whether winemaker, grower relations, tasting room, cellar, or other function. 

Industry Service Award

Good deeds should not go unnoticed, particularly when those deeds span several years and benefit an entire industry; to recognize an individual(s) for their volunteerism and tireless dedication on behalf of and for the continual improvement and benefit of the wine grape industry.

Lifetime Achievement Award

This award celebrates an individual whose career has left a lasting legacy on Washington wine—through leadership, vision, mentorship, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Nominees and award winners for the Lifetime Achievement Award are selected by the Board of Directors.
